Wow! The time is flying! I can't believe that it is February already! I hope you all had a good two weeks.
In the last two weeks we continued to focus on compound words in spelling and completed our second CASI assessment of the year.
In math, we finished up our study of 2 and 3D shapes and have moved on to graphing.
We continue to challenge our problem solving skills with Mashup Math problems.
We have also been applying our knowledge of angles in our work programming J-Bot in the Innovation Studio.
In social studies, we have been focused on First Nations and the Early Settlers. We also spent some time learning about Groundhog Day and have begun studying and reflecting on Black History month.
We continue to work on our posters for our Reader's Theatre plays and rehearsing our various roles. Hopefully we will have them posted and an audience for our plays in the coming week.
All the grade threes also have an opportunity to show off their talents at the Grade Three Talent Show taking place during the nutrition breaks on Feb. 9th. This event is hosted by the student Music Council.
Have a great week!
Ms. Sparling
